Job description


SAIC is seeking a skilled Logistics Associate to join our team supporting the SAIC's Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) FMS Team in Huntsville, AL. The IBCS Program plays a critical role in advancing air and missile defense capabilities, providing a network-centric environment for enhanced battlefield awareness and defense measures. As a Logistics Analyst, you will play a vital role in analyzing and optimizing logistical operations to support the success of the IBCS program.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze logistical operations and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics activities and ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track the movement of materials and equipment to ensure timely delivery and availability.
  • Conduct data analysis to assess performance metrics and identify trends related to logistics operations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical support for program activities, including transportation, procurement, and resource allocation.

Qualifications
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in logistics analysis, supply chain management, or a related role; Additional six (6) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.

Experience Requirements:
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems.
  • Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Understanding of inventory management principles.
