Job description

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, with primary responsibility for revenue recognition, cash management, and month-end close reporting across our portfolio of physician practices. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with practice operations, revenue cycle, and FP&A teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a dynamic, PE-backed healthcare services platform.

This position will be 3 days in office/2-remote


Revenue Accounting

  • Record and reconcile monthly revenue and accounts receivable across multiple physician practice entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze revenue trends and investigate variances against budget/forecast
  • Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with GAAP and company policy

Cash Management

  • Perform daily/weekly cash monitoring and reconciliation across multiple bank accounts and entities
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow reporting and forecasting support

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Prepare and post journal entries for assigned areas, including accruals, prepaids, and reclasses
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for management and PE sponsor reporting
  • Identify and drive process improvements to shorten close timelines and increase accuracy

Other

  • Support internal and external audit requests, including PBC schedules
  • Assist with integration of newly acquired practices onto accounting systems and processes
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls in a multi-entity, PE-backed environment
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience; healthcare, physician practice management, multi-site services experience, or public accounting experience preferred
  • Private equity-backed or portfolio company experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, particularly as it relates to revenue recognition
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and clinical operations stakeholders
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity in handling financial data
