Job purpose
Alpine Air is currently seeking a Safety amp; Security Coordinator to be located at their headquarters in Provo, Utah. The Safety amp; Security Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day safety and security initiatives and will report to the Director of Safety amp; Security.
Duties and responsibilities
The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Work closely with the Company to foster the culture of "Safety First!"
  • Maintain and execute the Company’s Safety Management System.
  • In coordination with the appropriate departments, maintain and execute the Company’s Internal Evaluation Program.
  • In coordination with senior leadership and regulatory entities, maintain and lead the Company’s Emergency Response Plan in the event of an incident or accident.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the NTSB, FAA, TSA, and OSHA for all matters related to safety and security.
  • Document and track reported incidents within the company.
  • Ensure personnel adherence to all Safety and Security regulations.
  • Facilitate corrective actions for any Safety and/or Security matters.
  • Make timely notifications to leadership on matters revolving around Safety and Security matters.
  • Prepare written reports/responses as necessary to regulator or other entities inquiries.
  • Provide appropriate interpretation and dissemination of safety and security regulations and information to all Alpine Air employees.
  • Coordinate with the Company’s 119 personnel on all Safety and Security matters.
  • Be knowledgeable of FAA and TSA Regulations as well as the Company’s operating manuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
  • Previous aviation industry specific work experience
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word (expert level)
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to type 50 WPM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma required; BS/BA in administration or relevant field will be preferred
Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
This position is a Full-Time position, 35-40 hours per week, with competitive compensation and 401k with matching contribution. Paid Time Off, eight paid holidays per year, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance are available immediately upon employment.
