Job Description

SOSi is seeking OSINT and Technical Targeters to provide open-source intelligence and all-source research in support of client contracts and objectives. Successful candidates could come from any of the targeting cadres and expertise in commercial OSINT tools or technical targeting is preferred. The work requires consistency, attention to detail, flexibility, and a passion for evolution to keep pace with the ever-changing internet and social media trends.

Essential Job Duties

  • Conduct OSINT research to support all-source analysis. Summarize research findings in sourced reports.
  • Extract and merge information from disparate sources, establishing holistic meaning or relevance.
  • Develop and apply expert-level understanding and skills for social media analysis and exploitation.
  • Utilize language or technical skills on a near daily basis to enable research and analysis.
  • Identify and document the dominant sources and social media platforms in the arena and AOR(s) of responsibility. Monitor prioritized sources, identify key events and entities for research and analysis, and identify potential new data sources.
Qualifications
  • Active in-scope TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Ten to fifteen years of experience in the IC.
  • Minimum four years targeting or open-source exploitation experience; 10-plus years preferred.
  • Proven track-record in written and verbal communication, including briefings for client managers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight, while contributing to collaborative work product and team.
  • Superior time-management skills, including ability to flex to support short-fuse taskings while maintaining progress on longer-term projects.
  • Ability to learn sophisticated work processes and identify opportunities and requirements to improve those processes. Ability and willingness to document and share lessons learned with team.
  • Willingness to flex to learn new subject matter and accounts to support client and team objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to use OSINT tools for collection and analysis, particularly for social media data OR proven technical targeting ability and expertise in netflow analysis or identifying commercial application vulnerabilities. For Example:
    • Experience analyzing social media platform content, including using API calls to collect data.
    • Experience in python or other programming languages to support social media and OSINT analysis.
    • Experience as a network pen-tester, use of Cali Linux open-source exploitation tools, Security+ or similar IT certifications are also of interest.
  • Advanced skills (reading, some listening) in prioritized languages, including Chinese and Russian. Evidence of language capability determined by standardaized testing scores (minimum ILR 2+ for reading and listening) and/or by work experience. Additional languages of interest on a case-by-case basis. Years of experience or technical targeting skills may substitute for language in some cases.
  • Able to summarize foreign language materials into English and contextualize findings in research summaries.

Work Environment

  • Travel between local worksites will be required.
  • Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
  • Limited non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends may be needed.
