Raytheon’s Effector RF Design Department is responsible for designing RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, exciters, antennas, and radomes.  This includes design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration.  Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programs. 

This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:

  • Work in a lab to accomplish component and circuit card characterization, verification, and integration
  • Work with a multi-disciplined engineering team executing RF hardware testing and debugging of complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Test and handle sensitive RF Hardware
  • Train and mentor new hires in the lab
  • Test and troubleshoot circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals
  • Communicate technical information to a wide audience
  • Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
  • Shift Information: 1st shift

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:

  • Experience with RF circuit card testing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and / or network analyzers
  • Experience preparing documentation, including test plans and test reports, with minimal oversight

Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.  

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Mentorship or apprenticeship experience
  • Technical oversight responsibilities for less-senior engineers
  • Self-starter who’s capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team.  Providing technical oversight and direction, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.
  • Technical background in the following areas:
    • Testing Amplifiers, filters, mixers, VCOs, and Synthesizers
    • RF & Mixed signal circuit card assembly design and fabrication
    • Test plan creation and test report authoring

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
