Who we're looking for

Toyota's Manufacturing IT Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Test Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead testing efforts for Siemens OpCenter configurations, customizations, and integrations prior to production deployment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing IT department's objective to deliver a high-quality, reliable MES solution across manufacturing, quality, and logistics operations.

This position is based in the Battery Plant, Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

What you'll be doing

  • Define and own the testing strategy, including unit, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing

  • Develop and maintain test cases, scripts, and test data for OpCenter modules

  • Lead execution of testing activities across manufacturing, quality, and logistics functional areas

  • Validate integrations between OpCenter and external systems (ERP, PLC, SCADA)

  • Identify, track, and manage defects using test management and tracking tools

  • Lead and mentor testing resources, ensuring alignment on testing standards and execution

  • Provide test status reporting and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of software testing experience

  • 2+ years of experience testing MES/MOM or similar enterprise systems

  • Experience with SQL and validating data across integrated systems

  • Experience using defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with Siemens OpCenter (Discrete, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing modules)

  • Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments

  • Experience with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Tosca)

  • ISTQB or similar testing certification
