Job description

The Company
Founded in 2009 by Audrey McLoghlin, Frank & Eileen set out to reinvent the women's button-up using the finest Italian fabrics often reserved for menswear. Named in honor of Audrey's beloved Irish grandparents, the brand has grown slowly and intentionally into a woman-owned, woman-led leader in sustainability and slow fashion. Frank & Eileen achieved B Corp certification in 2020 and continues to hold the highest score for any woman-owned, globally recognized apparel brand in the United States. After seventeen years of steady growth through wholesale partnerships and direct-to-consumer e-commerce, Frank & Eileen recently opened its first US flagship store-an Irish country house on Madison Avenue, NYC. This new chapter continues the brand's legacy of using entrepreneurship as a force for good while delivering generationless style to its beloved community of customers-all from our HQ in sunny California.
The Role
Frank & Eileen is looking for a creative and detail-obsessed Photo Retoucher to join our growing Creative team. In this role, you'll transform raw photography into polished, production-ready assets that reflect our creative vision and uncompromising quality standards. Working closely with our Creative and Marketing teams, you'll ensure every image accurately represents our products, strengthens our brand, and delivers an exceptional customer experience across e-commerce, marketing, advertising, and social media. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, has an exceptional eye for color, consistency, and detail, and is passionate about fashion, visual storytelling, and perfecting every image. They take pride in solving complex visual challenges and consistently producing work that is both technically flawless and creatively compelling.
Responsibilities
Image Retouching & Color Management
  • Retouch and edit high volumes of e-commerce, marketing, and social media photography while maintaining creative standards.
  • Perform advanced color correction, product cleanup, background replacements, clipping paths, and image enhancements that ensure consistent brand presentation.
  • Prepare flat lay and product photography for e-commerce and marketing use.
  • Ensure all imagery accurately represents product color, texture, fit, and overall quality.
  • Manage freelance retouchers and services as needed (during high-volume times), maintaining brand standards and aligning with Sr. Producer on budget.

Asset Organization & Workflow
  • Maintain organized digital assets, file naming conventions, version control, and production workflows.
  • Prepare production-ready files for e-commerce, marketing campaigns, social media, advertising, and other digital channels.
  • Support efficient studio operations by maintaining organized workflows and meeting production deadlines.
  • Approach feedback with openness and adaptability, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality work that reflects the brand and supports team success.

Creative Collaboration
  • Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback while maintaining consistency across all assets.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve image quality, workflow efficiency, and production consistency.

Who You Are
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • 3- 5 years of professional photo retouching experience within fashion, apparel, or e-commerce photography.
  • 3-5 years of experience using Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and Lightroom Classic in a commercial production environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant experience.
  • Experience working within a commercial photography studio, creative agency, or consumer brand preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of professional photo retouching techniques, color correction, color management, image optimization, and digital asset preparation.
  • Experience retouching apparel, flat lay, product, and studio photography for e-commerce and marketing applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle variations in color, lighting, texture, and overall image quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced creative environment.

Physical & Mental Demands
  • This role is currently hybrid based in downtown LA and will transition to in-office at our new campus in Playa Vista, opening in 2027.
  • Prolonged use of computers, professional photo editing software, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based image editing and digital asset preparation.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach within office and studio environments.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move photography equipment, samples, or office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual requirements include close vision, color differentiation, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus while reviewing and editing digital images.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements while operating a keyboard, mouse, pen tablet, or similar input devices.
  • Ability to sustain visual concentration for extended periods while reviewing, comparing, and editing large volumes of digital images.
  • Ability to work under production schedules that may require prolonged periods of concentrated computer work during seasonal launches, marketing campaigns, or other high-volume production periods.
