Job Summary

The Account Manager partners with an apparel and outdoor retail client to plan, coordinate, execute, and support retail marketing and point-of-purchase (POP) signage programs. This role manages client relationships, order processing, account growth, project execution, database maintenance, billing, and coordination with internal design and production teams to ensure successful delivery of marketing initiatives. This is a hybrid position based in either Springfield, Missouri or Madison, Wisconsin.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail clients and support execution of retail marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive service and proactive communication.
  • Assess customer needs and develop strategic account plans.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and service issues.
  • Identify sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Upsell products and services, including software, surveys, and design solutions.
  • Conduct warm outreach to generate new business opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and account reports.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients and customers, delivering exceptional service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a prompt, professional manner.

Order & Project Management:

  • Create, process, verify, and track detailed orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain pricing, product, and signage databases.
  • Manage large-scale orders, special projects, and multi-client initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct store visits to verify program implementation and delivery.

Marketing & Brand Coordination:

  • Partner with clients and internal creative teams on signage, branding, and promotional materials.
  • Support artwork review, proofreading, and quality control of marketing assets.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare projections, account updates, visit summaries, and operational reports.
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in account management, sales, retail operations, customer service, or a related field. Experience in retail environments preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Communications, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing client relationships and coordinating multiple projects preferred.
