• Conduct thorough assessments of the social, emotional, and environmental challenges faced by clients, identifying critical needs and areas for intervention.
• Develop and implement comprehensive service plans tailored to the unique goals and circumstances of each individual or family.
• Provide high-quality counseling to students and families navigating various life challenges, utilizing best practices and evidence-based methodologies.
• Facilitate crisis intervention scenarios, conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans to safeguard clients during critical times.
• Engage actively with community resources, ensuring clients are connected to appropriate services that enhance their well-being.
• Involve yourself in community outreach efforts, raising awareness around mental health issues and promoting the services offered by Unity Support Services.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and collaborating with colleagues to optimize service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with organizational standards.

You will focus primarily on children, adolescents, and their families, addressing diverse mental health needs ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering resilience and improving overall life satisfaction among our clients, ultimately leading to better academic and social outcomes.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health issues prevalent among school-aged populations.
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating cultural competence and the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficient in using technology for virtual sessions and documentation, ensuring seamless communication with clients and colleagues.

• Previous experience in a school setting or community mental health organization is preferred.
• A background in trauma-informed care and familiarity with the challenges faced by marginalized communities will be beneficial.
• Experience with case management and advocacy within social service frameworks is highly desirable.
