Job Posting TitleSenior Strategic Sourcing Manager - RemoteJob Description

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and leading sourcing strategies for mid-level risk, spend and complex vendor categories. This includes developing vendor strategies, designing and administering RFx(s), leading vendor negotiations, leading contract drafting and redlining, and other sourcing management functions. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will independently develop and drive cross-functional vendor lifecycle management and sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sourcing needs and procurement activities for mid-level risk, mid-level spend, and mid-level complex vendor categories, including option/cost analysis, contract drafting and redlining, and negotiations in alignment to company sourcing processes, standards, and documentation
  • Lead and conduct all activities relating to evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and implementing preferred supplier agreements
  • Lead the negotiation strategy development, spend management, and action planning for assigned sourcing categories; ensure that vendor contracts, contract renewals, amendments, terminations, and related projects are completed on a timely basis and at maximum value
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and leaders on implementing the sourcing strategies approved by leadership, with a goal of maximizing value (cost savings, cost avoidance, partner performance, quality, risk reduction)
  • Participate in department projects and initiatives including, but not limited to, Sourcing and Finance policy management, process improvement, contract audits, contracting project management reporting, and competitive sourcing events and Request For Proposal (RFP) responses
  • Mentor other sourcing teammates and lead the team in the Director's absence.
  • Responsible for data integrity, usability, and insights into the procurement and contract management systems. Assist and lead financial and options analysis. Assist Sourcing Managers and Director to develop and execute implementation of Sourcing systems roadmap and continuous improvement plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors. Communicate effectively to keep business partners informed of progress and status on sourcing projects and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • 5 years of work experience in procurement, buying, supply chain, or strategic sourcing with 2 years of experience with sourcing and contract lifecycle management technology
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, collaborate, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP financial systems, sourcing tools, contract lifecycle management systems, and/or other related systems
  • PBM/health care experience
  • Experience sourcing one or more of the following categories: technology, real estate & facilities, marketing, human resources, clinical, customer service, or PBM operations
  • Prior project management experience

Potential pay for this position ranges from $81,000.00 - $138,000.00 based on experience and skills.
