Job description

Position Overview

Inner Refuge Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position offers licensed professionals the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of adults, adolescents, or a balanced mix of both. Our ideal candidate will bring both compassion and expertise to support clients in their healing journeys, while also providing valuable resources and guidance through a collaborative community approach.

About the Organization

Inner Refuge Healthcare Services, LLC is a community health clinic committed to improving the mental well-being of our clients through evidence-based therapeutic practices. Located in Issaquah, Washington, we prioritize creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where clients can feel safe and empowered to explore their mental health challenges. Our team of dedicated professionals values genuine relationships, mutual respect, and growth, both for clients and staff alike, underpinned by our belief that success is driven by these shared values.

Work Environment

This position is performed remotely, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still ensuring that our clients receive personalized and effective care. You will be part of a collaborative team that engages in clinical supervision and program meetings via secure online platforms, fostering a supportive atmosphere. Our clinic utilizes modern electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline documentation and improve client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct therapeutic sessions with clients in individual, family, or group settings, adapting approaches based on individual needs and treatment plans.
  • Maintain a consistent caseload, ensuring timely therapy sessions and regular follow-ups to assess client progress.
  • Perform thorough clinical assessments to develop and implement personalized, person-centered treatment plans that reflect client's unique circumstances and goals.
  • Stay organized by documenting all interactions and progress notes within 48 hours, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide immediate emergency support as warranted, participating in the after-hours on-call schedule to ensure client safety and care continuity.
  • Collaborate closely with referral sources, making appropriate referrals and providing updates to ensure integrated care.
  • Draft and maintain discharge summaries to facilitate smooth transitions in care and ongoing treatment support.
  • Engage in professional development through attending regular programmatic meetings such as clinical supervision and team discussions.
  • Stay informed about current evidence-based therapeutic techniques, offering specialized treatment to clients grappling with issues like substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working primarily with a diverse population of adolescents and adults, many of whom face multifaceted challenges such as mental health disorders, relationship issues, and life transitions. Your expertise and personalized therapeutic interventions will enable clients to acquire essential coping strategies, enhance emotional resilience, and foster meaningful progress in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in a human services-related field is required.
  • Active licensure in the District of Columbia as either a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to be trained on electronic medical record (EMR) systems is essential for effective documentation and client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with a clinical population addressing mental health issues, ideally within a community-based or outpatient setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, with a focus on returning strong therapeutic outcomes.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and referral networks to enhance client support and care coordination.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes life and disability insurance, professional liability insurance, an employee assistance program for mental health support, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. With minimal paperwork required, our therapists can focus more on their clients and less on administrative tasks, ensuring a fulfilling and impactful work life.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Inner Refuge Healthcare Services, LLC, we are committed to the professional growth and development of our staff. Opportunities for further training in specialized therapeutic modalities or leadership roles within the clinic are available. We encourage our counselors to pursue continuing education and provide support for professional development initiatives that enhance their skills and clinical expertise.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Inner Refuge Healthcare Services means becoming part of a supportive community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients. Our values of respect, growth, and genuine connection are woven into the fabric of our organization. Here, you will have the support of a passionate team and the autonomy to craft your therapeutic approach, all while working with a fulfilling caseload in a remote capacity.
