Who Are We?
Looking for a job that makes a real difference in our world today and one that you'll be proud of when you look back in 20, 30 or 40 years? This is it. Clean Power Research® is advancing the energy transformation through cloud software that informs, streamlines and values energy-related decisions and processes for utilities, energy professionals and consumers.
We're a growing company that counts 10 of the top 10 Fortune 500 utilities and many of the largest renewable energy companies in the U.S. as our customers. We're focused on expanding our market reach and impact with new software technologies that help solve the energy industry's hardest problems.
At Clean Power Research, every employee has a seat at the table and an important role.
Why Work Here?
  • Go from building solutions to being part of the solution
  • Join a growing team of software and energy veterans from companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Oracle, General Electric and Pacific Gas & Electric
  • Bring your passion and ideas to the table
  • Use your creativity to solve hard problems and make tough decisions
  • Work in a start-up like environment coupled with the stability and customer base of an established, profitable company
  • Realize work-life balance; we like to see our families, friends and pets at night!
  • Join a growing company that expects you to grow with us and invests in your growth

Clean Power Research offers competitive compensation and benefits to full-time employees including medical/dental/vision, paid vacation, paid holidays, a bonus plan and 401(k) plan with matching.
What You'll Be Doing as a Project Manager
Clean Power Research is seeking an experienced and focused Project Manager to lead mission critical Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations across our growing energy industry customer base.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects that configure, deploy, and onboard our utility customers to our SaaS products as well as collaborating with Sales, Business Development, Product, and Delivery teams during the pre-sales phase to contribute to proposals and Statements of Work (SOW). This is a fantastic opportunity to work cross-functionally and make a real difference in the way utility companies operate.
Your expertise will be crucial in defining and orchestrating project scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder alignment. You will work closely with the customer's Project Manager to ensure that each implementation not only meets but exceeds customer expectations and business goals. You will anticipate and mitigate project risks, manage project escalations, and handle change order processes with finesse.
This is a high-impact position with strong potential for long-term growth in a dynamic, global market. If you are a self-driven professional with strong follow-through and the ability to tactfully manage customer expectations, this is the perfect opportunity for you to shine.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate internal resources, working with various stakeholders, for flawless planning and execution of projects
  • Develop appropriately detailed project plans and track progress
  • Perform risk management and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings to make sure all contributors and stakeholders are aligned
  • Lead multiple concurrent cross-functional SaaS project initiatives from planning through execution
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget and deliverables from contract signing through launch, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular working sessions, status updates, and tailored training for diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Executives on budget and cost tracking
  • Secure other supporting Clean Power Research resources, as required to meet and exceed deliverables along the project timeline (e.g., engineering resources for customer-funded custom features)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and quality standards
Who You Are
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, preferably with a proven track record of leading cross-functional software implementations for complex SaaS (cloud) solutions
  • Well experienced across all phases, from pre-sales to project planning and execution, including stakeholder coordination and delivery oversight
  • BA/BS degree, in a business, technical or scientific field required
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience optimizing business processes, ideally with exposure to utility workflows such as utility interconnection, distribution planning, forecasting, and reporting preferred
  • Deep organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain high attention to detail, and ensure data quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools including MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot, and Planner and comfortable working with virtual whiteboarding tools such as Mural
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to automate research, support content development, and enhance project documentation and communication
  • Genuine passion for clean energy technology, solar and other renewable energy

Pay Range & Benefits
  • Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $120,000 annual depending on experience
  • Benefits: Performance-Based Bonus, Company Equity Plan
  • Additional Benefits: Paid PTO, Sick Time, Holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision/Life and Disability Insurance, 401K, Paternity and Maternity Leave, Commuter Benefits
