We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd. This role is conducted within a fully remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you maintain a strong connection with a collaborative team of professionals passionate about child and adolescent mental health. Although primarily remote, you will engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities using various digital platforms and communication tools.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs and challenges of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interview techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural contexts, ensuring they are revisited regularly for effectiveness and updated as necessary.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy tailored to younger clients.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive and nurturing home environments.
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, pediatricians, and educational professionals to coordinate holistic care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s care are aligned.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing rapid response strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of young individuals.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care and integration with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in team development through case reviews, sharing insights, experiences, and best practices.
• Stay abreast of current research, advancements, and regulations in child and adolescent mental health care, integrating new findings into clinical practice.

This position specifically caters to a diverse patient population of children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Your role will be vital in providing therapeutic support to the patient and their families, helping to facilitate understanding and resolution of their unique challenges, thereby enhancing overall family dynamics and individual patient outcomes.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C is essential for practice in Maryland.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centric approach.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with young patients and their families.
• Technologically proficient, particularly in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
• Capacity to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Demonstrated experience providing therapy to a youth population, especially in outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with the specific challenges faced by families within the community we serve.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development in emerging therapeutic techniques and interventions.
