Job description

We are looking to recruit multiple opening job across New York City including Truck Driver and Owner-Operator Van drivers. The below responsibility of Each position are brief detail of the job. We will provide detail descriptions as we reach out to applicants. Please feel free to ask us any questions. This is an active/ on going recruitment until all positions are fill up.

The applicant *MUST* have the active State driver license.

Working hours: 8 hours, minimum 3 shifts available.

Expected starting time : 5am.

Overtime available for above 40 hours a week for W-2

Job Description Summary: (This applies to All New York Location)
The Meal Delivery Driver will work in conjunction with theDoor to Door Food Delivery program. They will load approximately 100 meals daily at one of our sites and deliver them to different sites amongst the surrounding area. Loading takes place as early as 5am and routes are based on assignments and will be different each day.

Location of work: New York 5 boroughs, Staten Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Boston

Required Skills/Abilities & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
  • Must be 21 years age.
  • Medical Card
  • Valid United States driver's license.
  • Consent to a background check.
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong work ethic
  • Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
  • Load and unload cargo
  • Properly track and document activity log
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
  • Inspect truck before and after trip

Compensation:

For Owner/Operator-Meal delivery driver

Required Skills/Abilities & Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have your own minivan.
  • Must have smart phone capable of downloading applications and taking photos
  • Consent to a background check.
  • Ability to utilize routing applications.
  • Excellent verbal communication, ability to speak and write in the English language.
  • Strong customer contact skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Valid United States driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Reliable

Compensation:

  • Range between $200.00 to $250.00 a day
  • Opportunities for drivers start at 2 days/week - 6 days/week

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Previous experience of equivalent is preferred)
  • 2–4 years of experience in logistics, delivery operations, or field team supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local geography and well around technology
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, delivery tracking software, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license

Company Description

Meals on the Bus is a distribution service providers. We manage meals delivery across New York State. A driver is expected to handle meal box delivery to home/ resident premises or bulk deliveries of shelf stable product. We use software and tools to manage the delivery routes daily and drivers will be using it in order to accomplish tasks. There'll be a training provided for drivers.
