IAM IGA Lead UI Developer, VP
Who we are looking for
State Street cyber architecture & engineering is seeking a Senior Lead UI Developer to drive the design and development of scalable, high-performance user interfaces for enterprise applications. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and architectural decision-making, ensuring seamless user experiences aligned with modern UI/UX standards and enterprise security practices.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
  • Lead UI development strategy across multiple applications and teams
  • Define UI architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Mentor and guide UI developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring quality standards
  • Collaborate with architects, backend teams, and product owners to align UI with overall system architecture

UI Development & Engineering
  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance

Architecture & Design
  • Define front-end architecture (micro-frontend, component-driven design, etc.)
  • Implement state management strategies (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
  • Establish secure UI design practices aligned with enterprise IAM/RBAC systems
  • Drive adoption of modern frameworks and UI technologies

Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work closely with UX designers to translate wireframes into functional UI
  • Partner with backend teams to integrate APIs and services
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles
  • Ensure CI/CD integration for UI deployments

Quality & Governance
  • Enforce coding standards, UI guidelines, and design consistency

  • Drive technical documentation and reusable standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
  • 10+ years in UI/front-end development
  • 3+ years in a lead or architect role

Technical Skills
  • Strong expertise in:
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
    • React (preferred), Angular, or Vue
  • Experience with:
    • HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind/Bootstrap
    • REST APIs and microservices integration
    • State management (Redux, Context API, etc.)
    • Build tools (Webpack, Vite)
  • Familiarity with:
    • Micro-frontend architecture
    • Design systems and component libraries
    • Accessibility (WCAG standards)

Testing & DevOps

Salary Range:
$125,000 - $215,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
