Job description

Our ideal candidate is dynamic and grounded in their financial background, looking to bring their experience and proven systems to drive growth and scalability.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts such as the balance sheet, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger to maintain financial integrity.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable governmental accounting standards.
  • Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support payroll management processes utilizing software like ADP ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and compliance activities while maintaining detailed documentation of all financial activities.
  • Utilize various financial software including R365, Toast or similar platforms to streamline accounting operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and alignment
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required skills and expertise:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; or similar degree is required
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., R365, POS systems, third party software integration), advanced Excel and familiarity with payroll software.
  • Ability to interpret financial data confidently while demonstrating sound judgment in financial decision-making processes
  • Ability to pivot between competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen; ability to collaborate effectively with operational and executive teams.
  • Knowledge of inventory based accounting in a hospitality setting is desirable
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 annually depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), PTO and dining discounts.
