The Plumbing Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing residential and commercial plumbing construction projects from planning through completion while directly supervising a crew of approximately 5–10 plumbers. This role manages daily field operations, scheduling, manpower, job costing, materials, quality, safety, and customer communication while utilizing ServiceTitan to manage workflows, track job progress, and maintain accurate project information.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage residential and commercial plumbing construction projects from initial planning through final completion.
  • Directly supervise, lead, and develop a crew of approximately 5–10 plumbers.
  • Schedule and assign daily work based on project priorities, manpower needs, and deadlines.
  • Monitor field productivity and ensure crews complete work safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
  • Review plumbing plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction documents.
  • Ensure plumbing installations meet applicable local and state plumbing codes and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with homeowners, builders, general contractors, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Manage material and equipment needs to ensure crews have the resources necessary to complete projects on schedule.
  • Track project costs, labor hours, materials, change orders, and overall job profitability.
  • Use ServiceTitan to manage scheduling, job documentation, project updates, labor tracking, customer information, and other operational workflows.
  • Maintain accurate job notes, photos, documentation, and project information within ServiceTitan.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and project progress.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, jobsite issues, scope changes, and potential cost impacts and resolve them proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and jobsite safety procedures.
  • Coach and hold plumbers accountable for workmanship, productivity, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Coordinate inspections, punch-list items, project closeout, and customer turnover.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates regarding project status, manpower, scheduling, job costs, and potential risks.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of plumbing experience with a strong background in residential and commercial plumbing construction.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading plumbing crews, preferably teams of 5–10+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and plumbing codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Experience managing schedules, labor productivity, materials, job costs, and project deadlines.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, motivate, and hold field employees accountable.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working directly with homeowners, contractors, inspectors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites as needed.
