Job description

Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking a Data Visualization Analyst in our Culloden, WV. If you are looking to join a great organization and a chance to become a part of our growing team, this may be the opportunity for you!
Position Summary:
The Data Visualization Analyst develops interactive dashboards and data visualizations that transform complex business data into actionable insights. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs, automate processes, and deliver accurate, user-friendly analytics that support inventory, manufacturing, supply chain, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling with the ability to communicate data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Dashboard Development: Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports. Provide training and support to end users.
  • Data Storytelling: Translate technical data findings into visual formats (charts, graphs, heatmaps) that provide clear recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and gather reporting requirements to develop, maintain and improve key business metrics.
  • Data Preparation & Modeling: Clean, organize, and integrate data from disparate sources to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous data validation to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all visuals.
  • Process Automation: Identify and implement opportunities to automate the reporting lifecycle to reduce manual data handling.
  • Support: Inventory, Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement and other Operations areas through data analysis and automation
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Visualization, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience: Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools. While experience in inventory control, planning, or manufacturing is beneficial, demonstrated ability to develop dashboards, analyze data, and deliver actionable business insights is the primary qualification for this role
  • Tool Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Power BI (i.e. DAX, Power Query); strong working knowledge of SQL and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Design Sense: Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, color theory, and visual design layout.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a specific talent for presenting complex data to non-technical audiences
