ATI is an FAR Part 121 charter airline headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio, and operates a worldwide fleet of Boeing 757 and 767 cargo and combi passenger aircraft. ATI specializes in freight forwarding, government and military contracts. ATI is a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc.

Purpose:
The Manager of Quality Control reports to the Director of Quality Control. In the absence of the Director of Quality Control serves as his/her designee. Mgr. of Quality Control supervises and manages the Supervisor of Quality Control. In the absence of the Supervisor of Quality Control supervises Quality Control Inspection Representatives. The Mgr. of Quality Control is responsible for ensuring programs outlined in the GMM such as, Required Inspection Items, Inspection Stamp, Airworthiness Release, precision tool calibration, parts receiving inspection and Basic Empty Weight & Balance are being properly administered and policies and procedures for the programs are being adhered too. Serves as a member of the CASS and Reliability boards.
Job Functions:
  • Monitoring heavy maintenance activity in order to ensure compliance with appropriate policies, laws and regulations
  • Manages the weight and balance program and provides oversight of the aircraft re-weigh process
  • Assemble Records for Aging Aircraft Inspections
  • Coordinate and correspond with Regulators for Surveillance activities
  • Evaluation of technical data and regulatory requirements regarding aircraft modifications, maintenance procedures, and/or other upgrades
  • Auditing and physically evaluating new Company aircraft and helping format their records for induction into existing programs
  • Surveillance of inspections, repairs, or modifications being performed by a repair station or overhaul agency as a primary job function
  • Assisting in the development or revision of repair specifications or maintenance program. (Continuous Improvement)

Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check
  • Technical writing ability for clear and concise instructions used in Engineering Orders
  • Aircraft systems and structures knowledge
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Knowledge of Records filing and Database research
  • Capable of working independently
  • Three (3) - five (5) years experience in aviation maintenance
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Valid passport or the ability to obtain one
  • Good computer skills. Proficient in the following programs: Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally

Preferred Job Skills:
  • Associates degree or higher

Physical Requirements:
  • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements
  • Light to moderate lifting is required
  • Oral and written communication
