Infection Control / Staff Development RN (Registered Nurse) Responsibilities:

  • Lead our Infection Prevention & Control Program (IPCP), including monitoring, reporting, and managing infections in compliance with CDC, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Educate staff on infection control practices, isolation protocols, and resident safety.

  • Oversee staff orientation, mandatory trainings, and ongoing in-service education across all departments.

  • Partner with leadership to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment.

  • Serve as the on-site leader for infection control initiatives, including COVID-19 prevention and response.

  • Monitor public health advisories and keep policies and practices up to date with current standards.

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership on staffing needs and participate in on-call rotation.

Infection Control / Staff Development RN (Registered Nurse) Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with knowledge of infection prevention, employee health, and staff development practices.

  • Strong communication and teaching skills to support staff growth and compliance.

  • Ability to make independent decisions, investigate outbreaks, and implement corrective actions.

  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage both education and infection prevention responsibilities.
