Job description

Leadership Development Specialist
Department: Corporate Care
Reports to: Leader Development Manager
Location: Strasburg Facility (10190 OH-21 Strasburg, OH)
Hours: 8:00am-4:30PM, Monday-Friday
Summary
The Leadership Development Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the growth of both emerging and established leaders at ProVia. This position creates engaging development experiences through one-on-one guidance, small group sessions, and classroom training. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, set goals, and enhance leadership capabilities. The Leadership Development Specialist will assess leadership readiness, promote ProVia's leadership culture, and walk alongside leaders to implement development strategies that align with the company's objectives. A passion for fostering growth, building relationships, and a deep understanding of our company's culture are key to success in this role. Candidate must uphold and represent ProVia's Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Model and nurture ProVia's culture in all interactions and development efforts.
  • Build relationships with established and emerging leaders through one-one-one conversations, offering guidance, feedback, and support to foster their development.
  • Lead small group sessions, encouraging peer learning, shared experiences, and collective problem-solving to enhance leadership skills.
  • Deliver engaging, in-person, training sessions for established and emerging leaders.
  • Assess emerging leaders' leadership potential and provide actionable feedback for growth.
  • Support leaders in building trust, setting expectations, and navigating challenges.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and create growth opportunities for emerging leaders.
  • Assist in developing new strategies to engage and empower established and emerging leaders.
  • Align development efforts with the company's purpose, vision, mission and values.
  • Serve as a Predictive Index Practitioner for all employees.
  • Actively promote, communicate, and advocate for all leadership development opportunities.
  • Stay current with industry best practices by attending seminars, workshops, and training to enhance professional development and knowledge.
  • Perform additional tasks related to Corporate Care as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools such as WebEx and Zoom.

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong planning, time management, and follow-up abilities.

  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on practical solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role or in developing adult learners

Travel
Local travel between Ohio facilities. Occasional travel to the Booneville, MS facility. Mileage reimbursement is available for travel outside the normal commute.
