About the Role

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of mission-critical infrastructure projects, with an initial focus on structural steel and a defined pathway to expand into additional disciplines and scopes.

This role is responsible for managing project delivery from planning through completion, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities. Operating in fast-paced industrial and data center environments, the Project Manager plays a critical role in driving schedule adherence, cost control, and quality performance on complex, large-scale builds.

This position is structured for growth, with opportunities to expand into broader technical and program leadership responsibilities as the portfolio evolves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer documents, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive end-to-end estimates for structural steel and additional scopes within hyperscale data center and industrial projects.
  • Manage the full bid process, including subcontractor solicitation, proposal development, pricing strategy, and submission of accurate, competitive bids under tight deadlines.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution for structural steel and related scopes, including planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and project closeout.
  • Coordinate across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and field construction teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Track project performance against key milestones and hyperscale KPIs, proactively identifying risks such as schedule compression, supply chain delays, and scope changes, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project controls including estimating, scheduling, document control, logistics, resource planning, and subcontractor performance to maintain cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, progress reporting, issue resolution, and value-added recommendations that support long-term partnerships.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to process optimization, documentation standards, and project delivery best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in industrial or data center construction, with a strong emphasis on structural steel delivery.
  • Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle, including estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and project controls in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with mission-critical and hyperscale project requirements, including aggressive schedules and high coordination complexity.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent construction management tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to expand technical scope into additional construction disciplines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of project management principles across the full lifecycle, including estimating, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
  • Knowledge of mission-critical and data center construction requirements, including compressed schedules and high-performance standards
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and commercial terms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution across multiple disciplines
  • Strong organizational skills with accurate project documentation and reporting discipline
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, procurement, fabrication, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to track KPIs and drive performance improvements
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and vendors with accountability and performance tracking
