Construction Project Manager III

Location: Merritt Island, FL Type: Contract / On-site Pay Rate: starting at $64 and up to $66 per hour 40hrs a week

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and client satisfaction while coordinating contractors, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and project management skills with experience delivering commercial or industrial construction projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage construction projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, contractors, subcontractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks, schedule impacts, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining project priorities.

Construction Oversight

  • Provide field oversight through regular site visits and inspections.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and workforce planning.
  • Work closely with field Superintendents to resolve issues and maintain project schedules.

Contract & Financial Management

  • Support contract negotiations with General Contractors and subcontractors.
  • Review and process invoices, payment applications, and change orders.
  • Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Monitor project financial performance and recommend budget adjustments when necessary.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies across all project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Promote company Safety, Quality, and Ethical Standards.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to verify safe work practices and quality compliance.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
  • Prepare project reports, schedules, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, Project Coordination, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience managing General Contractors and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Experience using project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, PMWeb, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, or similar.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA Certification (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Ability to work on active construction sites, including walking, climbing stairs, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or otherwise authorized to work in accordance with project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience managing complex commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, change order management, and budget forecasting.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments.
