Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager of Project Management 2 located in Clearfield, UT. This position support the ICBM-S program.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Control Account Management at the segment for planning and program performance
  • In accordance with organizational and leadership goals, provides direction on activities, behaviors and results.
  • Motivates team members and facilitates team meetings that cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors consistent with Northrop Grumman leadership behaviors and Northrop Grumman values.
  • Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and provides solutions.
  • Provides guidance to team on development, performance, and productivity issues.
  • Serves on the Program Management Homeroom team in a leadership capacity while also providing management support to the segment lead for execution and operations.
  • Collaborating with the segment execution and operations lead on anticipating leadership needs and driving multiple project threads to meet strategic objectives while managing priorities through changing requirements
  • Directly responsible for guiding and supporting segment team members to prepare, coordinate, and facilitate executive level and customer level engagements along with segment and program level meetings.
  • Responsible for segment coordination, tracking, and management of Contract Data Requirements List deliverables as required or assigned.
  • Manage program increment rhythm to enable and integrate program, segment, and element level execution of objectives.
  • Responsible for supporting communications and executive directives.
  • Support strategic planning and investment initiatives as assigned.
  • Support and drive efficiency and innovation initiatives as prioritized and assigned
  • Support and drive program management and project management best practices and standards to improve team performance.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; master's degree and 6 years' experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance
  • Experience in project management/ execution and closeout
  • Experience in Earned Value Management

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience managing people, such as daily functional leadership of a team of ~10-15 employees with capacity to lead and support a team of ~50 employees
  • Strong understanding of the impact of decision-making on organizational objectives, emphasizing accountability and foresight
  • Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Program Management experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Familiarity with the Deterrence mission
  • Active S or TS clearance
  • Current/Active Special Program Access (SAP)
  • CAM or IPT leadership with proficiency managing project costs and schedules effectively

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
