Your Role at Acousti
As a Estimator/ Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading commercial drywall projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for estimating, bidding, and managing projects to ensure timely and profitable execution while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
In this role, you will contribute directly to the success of our company by ensuring efficient operations and delivering high-quality results. You will work closely with our dynamic team and play a key part in supporting our day-to-day operations, ensuring our high standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
    • Review project scope and identify risks, confirming expectations with all stakeholders from the outset
    • Ensure bid proposals are accurate and manage projects to meet profit expectations
    • Oversee projects from initiation to completion, including take-offs, material orders, communication, and punch lists
    • Maintain a solid understanding of pricing and proposal models to secure profitable projects
    • Lead client interactions and sales efforts, guiding customers from initial contact through project close
    • Identify and maximize opportunities to gain market share from competitors through consultative selling
    • Build a network of qualified leads through referrals, cold calling, email, and other networking methods
    • Manage billing and collections, preparing monthly payment requests and following up on overdue payments
    • Track and maintain control over project schedules and budgets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
    • Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams on project specifications, costs, and challenges
    • Use expertise in drywall installation to troubleshoot field issues and anticipate challenges
    • Negotiate material buyouts to secure the best possible pricing
    • Evaluate and respond to customer proposals and RFPs for large renovation and CapEx projects, including reviewing blueprints, specifications, and contracts
    • Stay up to date with industry practices, materials, and installation methods, offering guidance to teams and clients

What We're Looking for in You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
    • 5-10 years of proven project management experience in commercial drywall and/or ceiling projects
    • Strong proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid
    • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and coach others

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the above, we would prefer candidates with:
    • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field
    • Experience in consultative selling and business development within the drywall industry
