We are currently seeking an Intermediate Project Controls professional to support a major mining and construction project. This position will support project cost and schedule control, reporting, change management, forecasting, and day-to-day project controls activities while working closely with the Project Controller, Superintendent, and project team.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain project controls systems, trackers, and reporting.
  • Track project costs, commitments, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Support construction estimating, scheduling, and resource planning activities.
  • Track project changes and identify impacts to cost and schedule.
  • Support earned value management and short-interval control activities.
  • Prepare project controls reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
  • Support purchase requisitions and procurement-related project controls activities.
  • Provide project controls support to the Project Controller and Superintendent.
  • Collaborate with construction, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to maintain accurate and timely project information.
  • Assist with identifying cost, schedule, and resource issues and support mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate project controls documentation and records.
Position Details


Rotation: 15 days on / 13 days off
Shift: 12-hour shifts with flexible timing to support 24-hour construction operations
Flights & Camp: Provided

Flights to site are provided from the following locations:

  • Vancouver
  • Calgary
  • Kelowna
  • Smithers

Requirements

  • Experience in project controls, preferably within mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience with cost tracking, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
  • Familiarity with project controls trackers and reporting systems.
  • Understanding of construction estimating, earned value, short-interval control, and resource planning.
  • Experience with purchase requisitions and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Project Controllers, Superintendents, Project Managers, and construction teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
