The Sr. Project Controls Specialist is an individual contributor with specialized knowledge and skills responsible for the development and preparation of Project Controls deliverables on the assigned project with minimal supervision and/or oversight.  The role directly reports to Manager of Project Controls and Project Manager assigned and routinely interacts with Senior Operations professionals within organization.


  • Responsible for project Cost Forecasting, Scheduling/Planning, Progress Measurement & Reporting, Change Management & Risk Management facilitator.
  • Develops the WBS and CBS for control and requirements as defined by the contract and execution plan.
  • Develops integrated EPC cost and schedule program including reporting.
  • Develops and maintain progress measurement system applicable to the project.
  • Analyzes cost and schedule data including the PSR and recommends solutions or recovery plans to impacts or delays.
  • Monitors status of risks & opportunities as well as cost and progress trends.
  • May provide direct supervision as required to a small team of Project Control resources on one or a group of projects.
  • Regularly interfaces with Senior Management and Clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and adherence to internal controls and procedures.
  • Advises Project Management of forecast risks as soon as they are identified

  • BS or equivalent undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience; project or construction management preferred
  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience working with Primavera (P6) and/or other scheduling/planning software
  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience with Cost Control, Forecasting and Management

  • Must be proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud or EnterpriseOne, SAP, EcoSys, Omega PIMs or other cost management systems
  • Advanced MS Excel and Database skills
  • Experience working in JDE Enterprise (preferred) or other cost accounting software
  • Strong Change & Risk management knowledge
  • Good knowledge of CB&I Products and capabilities
  • Practical experience in the use and understanding of companyโ€™s job cost management and scheduling systems and associated practices and policies.
