Job description

Essential Duties

  • Specify the controls hardware for projects including PLC selection, HMI Selection, Safety System hardware, vision systems, sensor, etc.
  • Create Submittals for each control hardware component.
  • Create the schematic prints for an automated system.
  • Create panel layouts.
  • Support system startups.
  • Create and compile turn over packages including the writing of User/Maintenance manuals and compiling OEM equipment documentation used on a project.


Education & Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferred


Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • CAD experience (AutoCad Electrical Preferred)
  • Working Knowledge of “High” Voltage Equipment & Circuits (230-1000 VAC/DC)
    • Motor Starters
    • Variable Frequency & Servo Drives
    • Induction Motors, Linear & Servo Motors
    • Transformers
    • Robot Controllers
    • Industrial Control Panels
  • Working Knowledge of “Low” Voltage Equipment & Control Circuits (24VDC / 120VAC)
