About the Role:

Project Managers at O’Brien Construction lead and guide Project Teams in the successful execution of construction projects, from initial estimating through final completion and close-out.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven background in building multifamily projects. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, inspections, life-safety requirements, and the coordination of specialized structural systems to deliver high-quality, compliant senior living environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, best practices, and company policies.
  • Review and approve subcontractor proposals and manage subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare and analyze project budgets, track costs, and identify and resolve cost variances.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and communicate effectively with all team members.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges and implement solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the project team.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and seek opportunities for innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (7) years of experience in construction project management, including experience with construction scheduling, cost control, project accounting, logistics planning, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience with multifamily or senior living framing systems in multi-family or senior living construction.
  • Experience managing licensed senior living construction projects (e.g., independent living, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing), including familiarity with applicable codes, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
