Project Accounting Manager

CB Partners is partnering with a growing professional services organization to identify a Project Accounting Manager who will serve as a key partner between finance and operations. This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys overseeing project financials, developing teams, and driving process improvements that support business growth.

In this role, you'll lead project accounting activities, collaborate closely with operational leadership, and provide financial insights that help guide business decisions. This position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for project accounting and financial operations
  • Partner with project and business leaders to monitor project performance and profitability
  • Oversee project billing, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, and related financial activities
  • Support month-end close and ensure accurate project financial reporting
  • Analyze project metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and client-facing teams to resolve financial matters
  • Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and special projects
