Job description

Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies-from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups-use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Startup Products team builds Stripe Atlas and other products that help founders start and run a company, from anywhere in the world. We believe that startups are one of the most effective ways to solve the world's problems, and we want to give founders a running start - and keep them running. We help founders form their company, raise capital, execute critical legal agreements, access the internet's best tools, and automate operations while feeling ambitious, smart, and assured. Our goal is to create more startups that get to product-market fit, fast.
Our team is composed of high-agency, high-ownership product thinkers, who genuinely care about helping founders and making it easier to start and run a startup. Every person on the team is responsible for making our product the best it can be, and for ensuring our roadmap contains the highest impact ships for founders.
What you'll do
As a product manager on the Startup Products team, you'll gain a deep understanding of what early stage founders need to get their company off the ground, identify the most important pain points to solve, help set the product strategy, scope product features and technical infrastructure, collaborate with design, drive execution with engineering, craft product marketing, and plan for go-to-market.
Responsibilities
  • Deeply understand the needs of startup founders and learn how they use Atlas and other startup products.
  • Stay at the front of the ever changing technology landscape, ensuring we are building where founders are and with tools they want to use.
  • Drive product development in collaboration with engineering counterparts by setting the pace, prioritizing ruthlessly, and unblocking execution.
  • Craft product experiences that are both simple and powerful, with surprisingly great details.
  • Contribute to our product strategy and own delivery of product and business metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and deliver clear communication on statuses, priorities, and landed impact.
  • Represent Atlas externally with founders, venture capitalists, accelerators, and partners. Establish new external partnerships as needed to drive product development.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to help us understand product performance.
  • Ensure that every user has a great experience with Atlas, using any means at your disposal. Review feedback, unblock stuck users, collaborate with our support teams, and recommend and deliver product solutions to common user problems.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
  • 6+ years of product management or product-focused founder experience.
  • Shipped user-facing or API products, built on complex technical systems running at scale.
  • An AI enthusiast and experimenter. Someone who is willing to upend their workflows for something that works 2x better.
  • Passion for helping founders build their businesses.
  • Persistence and a whatever-it-takes approach to ensure that your product is successful.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems.
  • Adept with data and confident in how best to measure user impact.
Preferred qualifications
  • Founder background, or experience in a very early stage company environment.
  • Software engineering experience, a computer science or engineering degree, or similar technical experience.
