Title: IT Lead Analyst - Workday AI & Prism Reporting

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois - hybrid

Type: Contract to hire

Compensation: $70.00 / Per Hour / W2

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Lead to join our team to oversee the technology platforms and applications that support the company’s Workday AI initiatives, Prism Analytics, and enterprise reporting. This role will lead the design, development, and optimization of Workday AI-powered capabilities (including Workday Data lake), advanced Prism analytics, and reporting frameworks. The IT Lead Analyst will play a pivotal role in enabling Workday Agents, Agent System of Record (ASOR), intelligent automation, data modeling, scalable reporting architectures, and AI-driven insights to enhance business processes and decision-making. The ideal candidate will align technology solutions with strategic business objectives, ensuring high-quality delivery, data integrity, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

·        Lead Workday AI & Analytics: Drive the adoption and implementation of Workday AI capabilities, including Agent System of Record, custom agents, Orchestration, and data cloud. Enable AI-driven analytics and intelligent reporting solutions that improve operational efficiency and business insights.

·        Prism Analytics & Data Modeling: Lead the design, development, and optimization of Workday Prism Analytics datasets, data pipelines, and transformations. Collaborate with business SMEs to model, validate, and enrich data for advanced reporting and analytics use cases.

·        Enterprise Reporting & Dashboards: Design and develop advanced Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and composite reporting solutions to support HR, Finance, and operational business functions. Ensure reporting solutions are scalable, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.

·        Advanced Reporting Solutions: Leverage AI-enhanced reporting capabilities, calculated fields, matrix reports, discovery boards, and Workday dashboards to deliver actionable insights and predictive analytics. Optimize reporting performance and data visualization strategies.

·        Advanced Integration Development: Leverage AI-enhanced integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and automation frameworks using Workday Prism, Workday Orchestrate, Cloud Connect, and APIs (REST/SOAP).

·        Systems & Data Engineering: Enable AI-driven insights through structured and unstructured data management practices. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and reporting frameworks that support enterprise analytics initiatives through Workday Prism and other Workday capabilities.

·        Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical and analytical solutions. Lead discovery workshops to identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements, analytics modernization, and reporting automation.

·        Operational Excellence & Governance: Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring, and optimization of Prism datasets, reporting solutions, and AI-enabled analytics capabilities. Ensure data quality, governance, compliance, and security across all reporting and analytics platforms. Establish best practices, reusable frameworks, and documentation standards.

·        Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Workday AI, Prism Analytics, and reporting roadmap updates to introduce innovative capabilities and modern analytics practices. Identify opportunities to leverage generative AI and intelligent insights within Workday reporting ecosystems.

·        Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

·        6+ years of hands-on experience in Workday Prism, Workday Reporting and Analytics with deep understanding of Workday Prism Analytics, Advanced Reporting, Calculated Fields, Discovery Boards, Dashboards, Composite Reporting, and data transformation concepts.

·        Prior implementation experience leading and implementing Workday AI/ML capabilities, Agents, ASOR, data pipelines, Prism Analytics solutions, and intelligent reporting frameworks.

·        Strong understanding of Workday architecture, data model, business objects, reporting framework, and security model.

·        Experience with at least 2 full life cycle Workday implementations focused on Reporting, Prism Analytics, or Analytics modernization initiatives.

·        Experience using developer and analytical tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, Excel Power Query, SQL, or equivalent reporting and validation tools.

·        Experience with modern data and reporting technologies including REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, ETL concepts, and enterprise analytics frameworks.

·        Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, predictive analytics, data engineering, and enterprise reporting strategies is highly desirable.

·        Workday certifications in Prism Analytics, Reporting, or Workday Pro certifications (strongly preferred).

·        Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

·        Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
