Job description

Position Summary

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, Digital Investigations & Cyber Risk, the Director of Data Analytics supports investigations, risk assessments, and expert witness matters across the firm including the Financial Investigations & Forensic Accounting practice, by leading advanced data analytics initiatives. This role partners with managers and multidisciplinary teams to design, execute, and communicate sophisticated analytical solutions across complex, sensitive datasets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes for transaction, compliance, forensic, and process-related datasets.
  • Transform unstructured data (e.g., mobile chat, email, financial and web data) into structured, analysis-ready formats or databases in support of investigation workflows.
  • Design, code, and refine analytics models using custom scripts and third-party platforms.
  • Report analytical results to internal and external stakeholders through written reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party analytics tools and cloud processing platforms to engagement type.
  • Support eDiscovery workflows, including data processing and loading into review platforms.
  • Develop analytic workflows for cyber and digital investigations.
  • Build and maintain production-quality custom scripts, queries, and automation to streamline repeatable processes.


Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming and SQL and Python.
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Access, SAS, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Brainspace, or Nuix.
  • Familiarity with cloud processing platforms such as Azure or GCP.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, investigations, consulting, litigation support, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex analytic engagements involving structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience supporting investigations, regulatory matters, risk assessments, or expert witness projects strongly preferred.
  • Sector experience in Financial Services and/or Health Care a plus.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
