Job description

Responsibleformonitoringandcontrollingassignedpokertablestoensuretheintegrityofthegameanda     pleasurablegamingexperience. 

  • Maintains constant awareness of activities of all games in assigned locationstoobserveand act appropriatelyin the event ofany suspicious or irregular activity. 

  • Controls and directs games in progress by monitoring andhelpinganddealer correction. 

  • Maintains awareness of each game's limits, guest activity,and dealer performance. 

  • AssuresTitle31 regulations are being adheredtoand the properpaperworkis completed. 

  • Interactswith all guests and team members as needed. 

  • Assumes overall responsibility for assigned poker tables. 

  • Oversees and ensureshigh standardsof guest service on each game and works closely with the Casino Operation Managers, Casino Hosts,and other casino team members toidentifyplayer'sneeds. 

  • Assistsin the hiring process by conducting interviews, training classes,and auditions. 

  • Provides andmonitorson-the-job training for Dealers to ensure staff receives adequate guidance, resources, and information. 

  • Responsible for completing and issuing Poker Dealer evaluations. 

  • Perform buy ins and fills for poker tables and guests as needed with available bank. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


 

  • Mustbe atleast21yearsofage. 

  • Mustbeabletomaneuvertoallareasofthehotel 

  • Mustbeabletoliftto25pounds 

  • Mustbeabletobend,reach,kneel,twist,andgripitemswhileworkingattheassigneddeskarea. 

  • Musthavethemanualdexterityandcoordinationtooperateofficeequipment,includinga10-keyaddingmachine,PCs,faxmachine,andphotocopier. 

  • Mustbeabletoworkat afastpaceandinstressfulsituations. 

  • Mustbeabletoread,write,speak,andunderstandbasicEnglish.

*Hourly range based on experience, skill set and education.
 

  • Thorough knowledge of all poker games and operations. 

  • Twoyears ofexperience as a poker dealer in a casino environment. 

  • One yearofsupervisory experience in poker room operations. 

  • Must be able toacquireaVA LotteryGaming License.
