Field Service Engineer

What You’ll Do
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems supporting municipal water and wastewater facilities.

  • Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and field service on new and existing automation systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, communication, and control system issues.

  • Support PLC programming modifications and SCADA troubleshooting as needed.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to municipal customers.

  • Train operators and maintenance personnel on automation systems and equipment.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers by delivering exceptional technical service.

  • Travel to customer sites throughout the region to support installations, upgrades, and emergency service calls.

This is a customer-facing Field Service Engineer position supporting municipal water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automation, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industry experience).

  • Three to five years of experience supporting industrial automation or control systems in a field service, manufacturing, utility, or systems integration environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations throughout the region.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple service priorities.
