Job description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver with Piggy Back Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractortrailers, dump trucks, and tankers.
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
  • Communicate effectively with Branch Managers/Dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
  • Manage manual transmission vehicles with proficiency for optimal performance.
  • Qualifications:
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
  • Piggy Back Experience.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating various types of trucks, including those requiring special endorsements (e.g., tanker).
  • Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
