Job description

Citation CJ3 Captain & Aircraft Manager Family Ownership Group | Part 91 Only | Fort Worth, TX (KFTW) A family ownership group based in Fort Worth is seeking a full-time, seasoned, professional Citation CJ3 Captain and Aircraft Manager for a Cessna Citation CJ3 (CE-525B). The family ownership group averages utilization of approximately 125-150 hours per year. The role is ideal for an experienced captain who has an accomplished professional flying career and is seeking a predictable, stable position that keeps them current in a capable light jet while offering excellent work-life balance. This is not a high-utilization charter or hours-building role. The aircraft strictly operates on Part91. Key qualifications will include a sensible, reliable and discreet professional who values being a member of a family operation and takes pride in keeping a private aircraft mission-ready for family leisure travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command for Part 91 private family travel in the CJ3.
  • Operating in single-pilot or crewed configuration, with sound judgment and excellent airmanship.
  • Handle all aspects of flight planning, trip preparations, logistics, aircraft performance, and passenger comfort with the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Oversee maintenance coordination using CAMPS, ensuring compliance and airworthiness.
  • Communicate proactively with owners on aircraft status, maintenance scheduling, and aircraft readiness.
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong preference for a current CE-525B (CJ3) type rating with considerable single-pilot jet experience.
  • Initial type training may be considered for exceptional candidates with strong light jet backgrounds and prior aircraft management skills.
  • Clean FAA record.
  • Prior experience in private/corporate Part 91 and international operations is highly valued.
  • Comfort with aircraft management duties is essential.
Minimum Requirements
  • 3,000 Total hrs
  • 1,500 PIC hrs
  • 1,000 Multi-Engine hrs
  • 1,000 Turbine hrs
  • FAA ATP with MEL and Instrument ratings
  • First class medical certificate
  • U.S. work authorization, valid passport and driver's license.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: Commensurate with experience. Expected baseline of $155,000, negotiable.
  • Training: Annual training provided by FlightSafety
  • Vacation + known time off
  • Per diem travel reimbursements
Location & Schedule
  • Aircraft based in Fort Worth, TX. Candidates must be willing to relocate, or be within a 1.5 hour drive from Fort Worth, TX.
  • Modest utilization (125-150 hours per year) with interesting trips to a wide range of domestic and international destinations.
  • This provides the opportunity to experience and enjoy different locations, avoiding the monotony of the same routes, while supporting strong work-life balance.
  • Enjoy a predictable schedule - trips are typically scheduled 4+ weeks in advance.

Pre-employment background check, reference verification, and drug screen will apply.
