Delivery Manager - Lawton, OK
Summary
The Delivery Manager is accountable for the daily deliveryof pre-sell products to customers' locations throughout servicing counties, thedelivery team and overseas the safe use of company vehicles and equipment incompliance with safety and DOT regulations.
Job Duties
• Coordinates optimal routing and loadingstrategies - manages daily driver delivery schedules. Review routes anddriver assignments weekly to ensure complete and timelydeliveries.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of driver's performance and overseeany necessary praise/correction.
• Monitor driver attendance records to ensure compliance with companypolicy.
• Handles corrective action and proper staffinglevels for the delivery department ensuring that all routes have the neededhelp to complete the day's deliveries; covers driver routes if needed due tobusiness needs.
• Approve or deny time off requests and schedulebackups, as necessary.
• Perform interviews with HR/In-House Recruiter tofill open delivery driver/assistant positions.
• Conduct delivery evaluations.
• Manage Delivery Supervisors.
• Communicates with Supervisors daily on thecompletion of routes for each day.
• Leads the team represents team to providefeedback to management on questions, concerns and needs.
• Training - new and existing employees on jobduties, equipment and tool usage, Encompass system, customer payments,swaps/breakage and cuts.
• Address challenges of drivers, sales, and the needs of customers while keeping otherdepartments informed and exchange ideas on productivity, efficiency and serviceneeds.
What we are looking for
• 3-5 years of DeliveryManagement or Delivery Supervisory experience.
• Prior beer or beverage industry experience required.
• Ability to work with computer programs associated with theperformance of the position.
• Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with alllevels of the organization, toorganize, prioritize, negotiate, manage, motive others and solve problems.
• Decision making, thoroughness and timemanagement a must.
• Knowledge of geographic areas.
• Class A CDL licensed required.
• Clean driving record
Initial compensationpackage includes the following with insurance coverage beginning the first ofthe month following 30 days full time employment:
