Role Summary:

At Flywheel Energy, we’re not just growing   we’re building real momentum where it matters. As a fast moving, innovative oil and gas company, we’re looking for a hands on, operationally driven Materials Management & Distribution Lead to join our Supply Chain team in Oklahoma City.

In this role, you’ll lead materials management across our operating assets, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time. You’ll oversee field warehousing, inventory control, and distribution logistics—keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Materials & Inventory Management:
  • Lead and develop the Materials Management teams embedded across Flywheel’s operating assets
  • Oversee inventory control processes including receiving, storage, issuing, and cycle counts at field locations
  • Work with basins on establishing and maintaining min/max inventory levels aligned with operational demand and working capital targets
  • Drive standardization of materials management procedures across all basins
  • Manage surplus and obsolete inventory processes, coordinating disposition and returns
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of materials transactions in the company’s ERP/inventory management systems
  • Distribution & Logistics:
  • Ensure inbound and outbound logistics for materials and equipment across field locations are managed in accordance with business objectives
  • Work with Supply Chain and Operations teams on expediting critical materials to meet field needs
  • Partner with vendors and freight carriers to optimize delivery schedules and reduce logistics costs
  • Oversee management of company owned and third party warehouses and lay down yards
  • Cross Functional Collaboration:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain, Operations, and field teams on materials availability and distribution issues
  • Support capital projects and turnarounds with materials planning and kitting
  • Provide regular reporting on inventory KPIs, stockouts, and distribution performance to Supply Chain leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain within the oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading field based materials or warehouse teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Maximo, or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing materials across multiple field locations or operating areas simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with upstream oil and gas operations and the materials/equipment commonly used in field environments.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques and working capital management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop frontline teams.
  • Experience with materials master data management and system data integrity.
