Job description

Job Summary

The Finished Product Manager is a pivotal position, you will take charge of overseeing the implementation of food safety training protocols within our production processes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the final product meets our stringent quality standards and is meticulously documented in alignment with our Food Safety plan. Beyond your food safety duties, you will also be entrusted with managing our inventory operations within the Oracle system. Your expertise in inventory control will be instrumental in maintaining the seamless flow of goods and materials, guaranteeing accuracy in movements and documentation.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Completes profiles on meat and bone meal, poultry meal, feather meal, and yellow and brown grease production.
  • Completes profiles on all grease purchases and shipments.
  • Reviews and evaluates qualitative data reports to verify that product meets Company specifications.
  • Serves as plant liaison with Central Lab & Corporate Sales Office with respect to quality, while managing the lab.
  • Submits results for all testing to appropriate management staff.
  • Responsible for moving product from one location to another.
  • Operates heavy equipment to load materials.
  • Maintains housekeeping for safe and neat work area.
  • Knowledgeable of plant products and specifications.
  • Responsible for Loadout Operations.
  • Maintains and reports weekly product inventories.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing & comprehending qualitative data reports to verify product meets specifications.
  • Comprehension and understanding of product flow in an industrial production environment preferred.
  • Prior quality assurance experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work well with others in a team, management, and regulatory environment.
  • Highly organized and safety conscious.
  • Superior time management skills; detail oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
  • Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
  • Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment which requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
