Oracle Cloud PPM Functional Lead

SC&H Group

Baltimore, MD • On-site

Full-time

Medical, Retirement, PTO

Posted 11 days ago

Job description

You'll own the Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) workstream on large ERP/SCM implementations and support opportunities — leading design, configuration, and delivery of Project Financial Management from Blueprint through go-live. Projects sits at the crossroads of the solution: it touches Procurement, Costing, Assets, Billing, and the General Ledger, so you'll work shoulder to shoulder with the Finance and Supply Chain workstreams to make sure project costs, commitments, and revenue flow cleanly end to end.

Work You'll Do

  • Lead requirements and design workshops for the PPM workstream, driving fit/gap decisions to documented, signed-off designs.
  • Perform hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud PPM — Project Foundation, Project Costing, Project Billing and Contracts, Project Budgets and Forecasts, and Capital Projects.
  • Design project structures, project types, expenditure types, burden schedules, and transaction controls aligned to the client's operating and reporting model.
  • Own cross-workstream integration points: project-driven procurement and supply chain (requisition and PO costing), labor cost distribution, capitalization to Fixed Assets, and revenue and billing flows to AR and GL.
  • Author and maintain functional design documents (FDDs), configuration workbooks, and process flows to SC&H documentation standards.
  • Define master data and conversion requirements for projects, tasks, budgets, commitments, and historical costs; validate converted data each mock cycle.
  • Build test scenarios and lead SIT and UAT cycles for the PPM workstream, including defect triage and retest management.
  • Deliver train-the-trainer sessions for project accountants, project managers, and billing teams; support end-user training materials and job aids.
  • Support cutover execution, hypercare, and production support stabilizing project accounting and billing operations post-go-live.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Oracle Projects functional experience, with at least 2 full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud (Fusion) PPM implementations.
  • Hands-on configuration expertise across Project Costing and at least one of: Project Billing and Contracts, Project Budgets and Forecasts, or Capital Projects/CIP capitalization.
  • Strong command of project accounting concepts — cost collection, burdening, commitments, budgetary control, revenue recognition methods, and capitalization.
  • Working knowledge of PPM touchpoints with Procurement, Payables, Fixed Assets, Receivables, and General Ledger, including Subledger Accounting (SLA) behavior for project transactions.
  • Experience writing high-quality functional documentation (FDDs, test scripts, configuration workbooks) and facilitating workshops with finance and PMO stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or executing SIT/UAT test cycles with structured defect management.

Preferred

  • Oracle Cloud PPM certification.
  • Experience with project-driven supply chain flows (project-specific inventory, procurement, and manufacturing) in Oracle Cloud.
  • Exposure to Grants Management or government/nonprofit project accounting requirements.
  • Familiarity with FBDI project conversions and OTBI project subject areas.
  • Consulting experience with direct client-facing delivery responsibility; experience mentoring analysts.
