Job description

Shah Development has immediate openings for full time Heavy Equipment Operators.

Job Duties:

  • Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant policies and procedures to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
  • Practice workplace safety
  • Maintain inventory
  • Use equipment for snow removal
  • Use equipment to level roads and ensure proper drainage
  • Manual Labor- Dig ditches, work/service equipment, lifting in gross of 100 lbs. and any other manual labor as directed by supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license, unrestricted
  • Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
  • Knowledge of operation of front end loaders, dozers, graders, skid steers and other pieces of heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage
  • Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • Knowledge of record keeping system
  • Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures

  • Ability to operate single and double axle trucks in a safe and responsible manner
