Job description

Duties and/or Responsibilities:
  • Place & take phone calls from internal and external customers for product.
  • Weigh trucks (internal & external customers) and prepare ticket for driver.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials & quantity.
  • Enter necessary information into computer system for inventory, billing and/or time keeping purposes.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with customers under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material needs, scheduling conflicts, explain payment requirements.) Monitor and discuss availability problems with co-workers and manager/supervisors.
  • Ensure Knife River safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and customer service experience is a plus.
