Position Overview

The Operations Manager is a technical leadership role with direct responsibility for the Inside Sales Team. The position serves as the local company’s primary technical authority, ensuring that customer requirements, product specifications, and operational capabilities are fully aligned. A key focus is to provide hands‑on technical support and expertise to Inside Sales and Field Sales, enabling technically sound solutions, accurate quotations, spotting opportunities for in‑sourcing/vertical integration and high customer satisfaction.

As a member of the BOPP USA leadership team, the Operations Manager leads and develops the Inside Sales Team, establishes clear structures and scalable processes, and ensures seamless cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Accounting. The role acts as a trusted partner to executive management, translating technical complexity into operational execution, driving continuous improvement, and supporting strategic decision‑making through disciplined, high‑quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Process Management
  • Lead the development, optimization, and standardization of operational and business processes across the organization
  • Develop and maintain professional and efficient cross‑functional interfaces with the local Inside Sales, Accounting, Logistics and Field Sales teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence across all departments.
  • Coordinate with the Swiss parent company on supply planning, logistics, forecasting, and reporting
  • Support the organization in establishing structured, scalable ways of working
Technical Leadership & Product Support
  • Provide technical leadership and hands‑on support to Inside Sales and Field Sales
  • Evaluate customer requests for technical feasibility and manufacturability, prepare basic cost calculations and quotations in cooperation with Technical Sales Managers and the Inside Sales team. Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Translate market and customer needs into technically feasible solutions.
  • Close cooperation with Global Technical Director of BOPP Group.
Leadership & Organization
  • Directly lead and develop the Inside Sales Team
  • Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence across all departments.
  • Foster a structured, accountable, and customer‑focused working culture
  • Support executive management with operational and organizational topics
  • Partner with outside sales on key sales‑related projects involving inventory, cost, blanket agreements.
Management & Projects
  • Support the entire BOPP USA team and corporate management in strategic decision‑making and reporting.
  • Prepare decision‑making materials and recommendations for executive management
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and long‑term organizational development
  • Ensure timely and high‑quality execution of complex tasks and initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Production‑Engineering or equivalent background.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration would be considered.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in process improvement, cost reduction and team development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cultural and organizational levels.
  • Hands‑on, pragmatic leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

Reports to Board of Management at G. BOPP + Co. AG, Switzerland and works in close coordination with the Global Technical Director of the BOPP Group having its office in Switzerland.
