Operations Manager

Are you a passionate leader who loves working with children and supporting teams?

New Creations is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and support our Site Directors across multiple locations. In this role, you will help ensure consistent excellence in operational standards, licensing compliance, curriculum, financial accountability, and family engagement.

You’ll play an essential role in guiding our leadership team and creating high-quality early learning experiences that reflect our mission, values, and commitment to children and families.

Position Purpose

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Site Directors understand, embrace, and consistently carry out the objectives and expectations of their roles. This includes supporting Classroom Development Directors, Health & Safety, Teachers, Assistants, Aides, and other support staff.

A primary focus of this position is promoting and maintaining compliance with Parent Aware standards, state licensing requirements, and New Creations policies and expectations. The Operations Manager serves as a trusted resource, coach, and accountability partner for Site Directors while helping each center thrive.

Schedule: Full Time
Days: Monday–Friday schedule based on center needs

Pay: Starting at $58,000/salary, based on education and experience MONTHLY BONUSES

Essential Functions
  • Build meaningful relationships with families, employees, Site Directors, and leadership so that every person feels seen, heard, valued, and supported.
  • Support financial accountability through forecasting, enrollment goals, budgeting, labor management, payroll, and other key operational metrics.
  • Coach and guide Site Directors in creating exceptional center environments where families and employees receive a true “red carpet” experience.
  • Champion educational excellence by supporting Site Directors in meeting and exceeding New Creations’ educational expectations, Parent Aware standards, and the needs of the families we serve.
  • Provide licensing guidance and support to Site Directors and their teams, helping each center meet and exceed state licensing requirements and New Creations standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between Site Directors and corporate/operational teams, including Finance, Enrollment, Staffing, and other departments. We believe in the approach: “I may not have the answer right now, but I will get the answer for you.” You’ll ensure questions are followed up on and support is provided in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Site Directors and leadership to ensure every center’s physical environment is safe, welcoming, engaging, well-maintained, and enjoyable for children, families, and employees.
  • Develop succession plans in partnership with the Hiring Department and leadership, using center growth and talent-development projections to prepare for future leadership needs.
  • Coach and develop newly hired Site Directors by reviewing task completion and accuracy, providing guidance and accountability, and ensuring they gain confidence and competency in their responsibilities.
  • Conduct weekly site visits to each New Creations location to provide leadership support, coaching, accountability, and connection.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED
• Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, however a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Must be Teacher qualified under State Standards. Official transcripts of all post-secondary work required.
• Must have a one-year minimum experience in an Early Childhood Education setting, along with the associating College degree/credits or CDA Credentials to teach in early childhood education.
• Minimum of five years teaching experience with young children, and one-year management or leadership experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates qualities of an effective leader including a genuine concern for others, excellent listening and problem-solving capabilities. Presents concerns in a thoughtful, balanced manner, compromises and/or in group situations seek consensus when appropriate.
• Must complete a background check and fingerprints shall determine that the applicant has not been “convicted of a felony... has no criminal record that the commissioner reasonably believes renders the person unsuitable to be employed in a child care center.”
• Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR completed within 30 days of employment.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTSWith or without reasonable accommodation this position requires:
• Extensive standing and walking; sitting on the floor and on low (12”) chairs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program; less frequently in the preschool program, but the children are heavier.
• Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.).
• Driving 30 minutes to one hour to visit centers.
• The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination.
• Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises (baby crying, toys falling and other common occurrences of children at play).
