Tutor Doctor Chandler-Gilbert-Ahwatukee is hiring SAT tutors and ACT tutors for in-home and online test prep tutoring across the East Valley. Tutor Pay & Compensation
  • $20-$35 per hour base pay
  • Up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments
  • Performance bonuses tied to student satisfaction, reliability, and other performance criteria
  • Semi-monthly pay, flexible scheduling, and the ability to select students around your availability

Unlike online-only tutoring platforms and app-based gig tutoring jobs, Tutor Doctor tutors are backed by a dedicated local team - not an algorithm. We personally get to know every tutor and thoughtfully match you to students based on subject expertise, teaching style, student goals, and preferred travel area and availability.
We handle client acquisition, billing, family communication, scheduling coordination, and administrative logistics so you can focus on what you do best: helping students prepare, improve their scores, and build confidence.
You'll also receive:

  • Current college enrollment or a completed college degree
  • Strong command of SAT and/or ACT content areas (math, reading, writing, science reasoning)
  • Background as a teacher, education professional, or test prep specialist
  • High personal scores on AP exams, SAT or ACT
  • Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and pacing needs
  • Reliability, professionalism, and consistent follow-through
  • Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring assignments
  • Understanding of testing and pacing strategies
Tutoring Job Locations - East Valley, Arizona
Chandler, Gilbert, Ahwatukee/South Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and other East Valley communities. Both in-home and online/virtual tutoring available. Tutors set their own preferred cities, travel radius, subjects, and availability.
