Operator 2, Warehouse Operations - 3rd Shift
Columbus, NE | Contractor | $20/hr + $2.70 Shift Differential
About the Role
Join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting production in a fast-paced warehouse environment. As an Operator 2, you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient material flow, accurate inventory control, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This third-shift position offers stability, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to develop valuable logistics skills with a respected industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts (stand-up, sit-down), electric pallet jacks, slip sheeting equipment, and material tuggers
- Supply and remove raw materials, finished goods, and hazardous materials to and from the production area
- Maintain accurate product identification, traceability, and material status through careful documentation and SAP/MES transactions
- Recycle and remove waste materials, reporting any damaged or questionable items
- Uphold stringent BD quality systems, safety policies, and regulatory procedures
- Achieve and maintain forklift certification; participate in ongoing training as needed
- Support warehouse operations by assisting in varied tasks as required
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 6 months recent forklift driving experience
- 1+ year warehouse experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making and self-motivation
Preferred Skills
