Manager of Med Surg Tele - Corona Regional Medical Center
The Manager, Med Surg Tele Nursing has 24-hour accountability to manage the day-to-day operations and is responsible for all aspects of clinical supervision of nursing care on the unit. Assists in the management of the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities, such as productivity, quality, safety, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, etc, Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency standards (OBRA, Title 22, Joint Commission, etc.). Supports and promotes the philosophy, goals and objectives of the unit. Represents the Director in his/her absence.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting required.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years management or supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Successful completion of chemotherapy course preferred
  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 day of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff as well as ability to interact well with the public.
