Shift Details: 2:00pm-10:30pm Holidays: Rotating Weekends: Rotating

Job Summary:

Under direction plans and coordinates the daily activities and resources of Sterile Processing following established policies/procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Other information:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing is required. In lieu of 2 years of experience in SPD, a minimum of one year of sterile processing experience plus one year of leadership experience is required.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

A minimum of 6 months of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technologist experience is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Demonstrated leadership skills. Thorough knowledge of all Sterile Processing equipment/techniques, using approved standard procedures. Ability to learn, understand, operate, and instruct others in the use of: washer/decontaminator, heat sealers, ultrasonic cleaner, steam and gas sterilizers, aeration cabinets, drying cabinets, and information systems.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the IAHCSMM or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from the CBSPD is required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
