Position Summary

AmeriSave is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented software engineers responsible for building and maintaining applications that power our Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Experience platforms.

This is a player-coach role that requires active participation in architecture, design reviews, mentoring, and technical delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable coaching engineers, partnering with stakeholders, and contributing to the codebase when needed.

  • Participate in architecture and technical design decisions

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Strong hands-on coding background in Java, TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL
  • Experience building and supporting cloud-based applications
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, and scalable distributed systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience leading Agile development teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mortgage, fintech, or financial services experience
  • Experience with AI-powered applications and automation platforms
  • Experience mentoring engineers and developing technical leaders
  • Azure cloud experience
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps best practices

Tech Stack

  • Languages: Java, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL
  • Architecture: APIs, microservices, cloud-based systems, and scalable distributed applications
  • Focus Areas: Internal tools, automation, AI-powered applications, sales and operations platforms, and customer experience technology

High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).

Compensation:

The annual compensation for this position generally ranges between $150,000 - $210,000.
