Job description

Job Title: Risk & Safety Administrator
Department: Risk Management
Reports To: Director of Risk Management
Rate of Pay: $20/Hour
Job Type: Year-Round: Part-Time
Shift: Variable days of the week, 9am-5pm (8-hour shifts)
Must be available Weekends & Holidays
SUMMARY
The Risk & Safety Administrator plays a key role in the smooth operation of Sundance Mountain Resort by coordinating communications, assets, and shipping/receiving between the Safety Department and all other departments across the resort, including but not limited to Lodging, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance & Construction, and Mt. Operations. This position supports the Risk & Safety Department operations through administering the Sundance Mountain Resort Safety Policies & Standards. This position will also support the Fleet department through administering the fleet policy and driver approval process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supports the Director of Risk Management and Safety Supervisor implementing the company safety policies and standard, which includes:
    • Maintaining the organization's Safety Balanced Scorecard and reports
    • Tracking the Safety department's goals.
    • Gathering information for incident reports.
    • Assisting in the development, assignment and tracking of all safety training assigned to the organization
  • Coordinate daily communication of the Safety department and respond to operational changes
  • Work with the Fleet Coordinator, which may include:
    • Organization of vehicle inspections
    • Maintaining the vehicle repair/maintenance tracker
    • Tracking employees through the company's driver approval process
  • Oversees shipping and receiving for Sundance Mountain Resort.
    • Receiving packages
    • Communicating with the recipients
    • Mailing out any packages or mail
  • Runs the Lost and Found system for the company.
    • Proper and secure storage of lost items
    • Reviewing lost item reports
    • Matching then coordinating the return of lost items to their owner
    • Donates/destroys found item in accordance with Sundance Mountain Resort policies.
  • Assign assets to employees.
    • Follows up with employees and managers when assets are not returned in time.
  • Manage radio and phone communication across departments.
    • Dispatch necessary personnel
    • Keep accurate logs and reports
    • Work closely with Safety Manager and Safety Officers during weather events and emergencies.
  • Track mountain access for vendors and contractors
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong proficiency with computers and digital communication platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to remain focused in an office environment for extended periods of time, often for the full shift
  • Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
